' Listen to the World is an eclectic series of Piano pieces covering all grades. Much of the music was written in response to my frequent trips abroad as a concert pianist and ABRSM Examiner. Intriguing sounds emanate from all around us – the noises of the elements, animals and people going about their everyday business. There are exotic evocations and some ancient symbolism in the mix too, alongside a little humour here and there to lighten the mood. The Piano is such a marvellous vehicle for expression, and through its prism of musical colours we might catch an occasional glimpse of ourselves, of familiar and less familiar places, or perhaps of dreams we are yet to have. In this volume there is music in a banyan tree, along the Panama Canal and echoing eerily within the crumbling walls of an ancient Machu Picchu temple. If we listen hard enough, the world might be trying to tell us something. ' - Mark Tanner.

"Počúvaj na svete je eklektický série klavírnych skladieb pokrýva všetky stupne. Veľa z hudby bola napísaná v reakcii na časté cesty do zahraničia ako koncertný pianista a ABRSM referenta. Zaujímavé zvuky pochádzajú zo všetkých okolo nás - zvuky z prvkov, zvierat a tých, ktorí sa o ich každodennej činnosti. K dispozícii sú exotické Evocations a niektoré staroveké symbolika v mixe tiež, spolu s trochou humoru tu a tam zlepšiť náladu. Piano je taký úžasný prostriedok pre vyjadrenie, a prostredníctvom svojho prizmou hudobných farieb, môžeme zachytiť občas pohľad na seba samého, na známych i menej známych miest, alebo snáď snov sme ešte mať. V tomto zväzku je hudba v banyánovníku pozdĺž Panamského prieplavu a ozvenou strašidelne v rozpadajúcich sa múroch starobylého Machu Picchu chrámu. Ak budeme načúvať dosť ťažké, svet by mohol byť sa snaží, aby nám niečo povedať. "- Mark Tanner.
