Easy Jazz Conception is an exciting and unique way for trumpet players to learn and practice basic jazz styles. This book features fifteen solo etudes for jazz phrasing, interpretation and improvisation, composed by Jim Snidero. These etudes are based on blues and standard chord progressions. The accompanying CD contains demonstrations of these fifteen pieces by Ryan Kisor on trumpet along with a world-class rhythm section. Mike LeDonne, piano. Peter Washington, bass. and Kenny Washington, drums. The CD features two separate versions of each etude. one with the soloist and rhythm section and one with the rhythm section only, thereby allowing you to hear how the solo should sound and giving you the opportunity to play along yourself, with or without the soloist.
