The first piece, Etude, an accompanimental ostinato in the left hand and an arpeggiated melody in the right hand, requiring much independence and dexterity. The second piece, Carillon. "Bells". , features descending arpeggios involving all four mallets in a beautiful chordal setting. The third piece, Humoresque, moves along at a brisk tempo and requires a quick right hand throughout.
