Torna a Surriento composed by Judith Katz. For flute quartet. Published by Imagine Music. IG.CMS106. This is Neopolitan song composed in 1902 by Ernesto De Curtis, with words written by his brother Giambattista. The song was first published in 1905 and over the years has become very popular. Many artists have recorded it, notably Beniamino Gigli, Elvis Presley, Placido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti. The song was supposedly written at the request of the mayor of Sorrento in 1902, when the prime minister of Italy was a guest in town.
