It tells the story of the Annunciation. based on Luke 1. 27-38. by presenting the dialogue between the Virgin Mary and the angel Gabriel. The setting evokes ancient style. the organ begins with a brief intonation and then accompanies the choir with figuration, originally improvised, reminiscent of seventeenth-century keyboard music.
