This delicate solo depicts perfectly the wonder of discovering fresh morning snow. It is an excellent piece for working on balance between the hands, shaping the melody and using legato pedal. The left-hand rhythmic ostinato in the opening and closing sections will aid in learning and memorizing the music as well. 5-finger patterns still used but position changes are more frequent including one octave scale passages.
