You will find that an explanation of the text is found at the beginning of each section. The idea came while looking at the mountains and seeing all their beauty. The hills and valleys were covered with many trees- no two of which were exactly the same. With further thought, it was realized that the forest is a perfect metaphor for the world, and the trees are its people.
