These two pieces come from a collection of Intradas, all of which are based on classic Lutheran chorales, the present two on Ein feste Burg and Vater unser im Himmelreich. Altenberg was not really a professional composer. Yet in spite of their occasional crudities, his pieces do have a kind of naOve charm, and can be really effective, especially is a good balance between the chorale and the other parts is achieved. If a singer is not available, a trombone can be used for the melody.

Avšak aj napriek ich občasné crudities, jeho kúsky majú akýsi naOve čaro, a môže byť veľmi efektívna, najmä je dobrá rovnováha medzi chorálu a ostatnými časťami je dosiahnuté.
