It may be played as a double-choir piece for handbell and handchime choirs or by handbell choir alone. The up-tempo meter alternates between 4. 4 and 6. 8, and the handbell part includes the use of mallets, ring touch, martellato, and martellato lift. A restful, lyrical middle section follows, using a new melody that begins softly then blossoms into a rich and glorious sound. The piece concludes in its original up-beat, rhythmic style. "Te Deum Laudamus" is translated as "We Praise Thee, O God," making this piece suitable throughout the church year, as well as for festival or concert use.
