Alan Publications. CN.15990. The three moods characterized in this piece are "Discouraged, "Yearning, and "Bouncy," and follows a traditional fast-slow-fast arrangement of movements. This piece owes its existence to both the deadlines of composition competitions and the desire to use my piano background as the basis for a marimba solo. I chose three moods to characterize this work. "Discouraged", "Yearning", and "Bouncy", and it follows a very traditional fast-slow-fast music arrangement. I have tried in "Discouraged" to channel late Romantic-era piano music, complete with independent playing and scalar runs down the marimba keyboard. "Yearning" focuses both on one of the major themes of the first movement, and the accompaniment of extended arpeggiation and rolls. "Bouncy" features a lighter style, more in the style of Clementi and Classical style.

CN.15990. Tri nálady charakterizované v tomto kuse sa "odradiť," túžba, a "živý", a nasleduje tradičné rýchlo-pomaly-rýchlo usporiadanie hnutia. Tento kus vďačí za svoju existenciu oboch termínov zloženie súťaží a túžba použiť svoj klavírny pozadí ako základ pre marimbu sólo. Vybral som si tri nálady na charakterizujú túto prácu. "Odradiť", "Yearning", a "skákacie", a z toho vyplýva veľmi tradičné rýchlo pomaly rýchly hudobné usporiadanie. Snažil som sa v "odradiť" na kanál neskorogotickým romantickej éry klavírnu hudbu, kompletný s nezávislým hranie a skalárne steká klávesnica marimba. "Túžba" sa zameriava ako na jednej z hlavných tém prvého hnutia, a doprovod rozšírené arpeggiation a rožky. "Skákacie" má ľahší štýl, viac v štýle Clementi a klasicistickom štýle.
