The head of this chart features the saxes and brass in sustained textures and sudden dynamic contrasts. A prominent role is played by upright bass. There are challenging solos over an unusal chord progression for guitar and tenor sax. Optional solo changes are included for Alto 1 and Piano. Contrasting ensemble interludes and a shout chorus with a suprise ending have made this a great "set-up" chart for closers. Trumpet to written high D#. Do doubles.
