This was the first source of inspiration for Janacek to write a piano concerto. Janacek was not intending to write a concerto for orchestra but a concertino, where further instruments were added to the piano solo so typical of his austerity. in the first movement only the French horn, in the second Es clarinet. and then the rest of the instruments - two violins, viola and bassoon. After its premiere in February 1926 the Concertino was ranked among the most original chamber music scores of its composer together with the wind sextet Mladi. Youth. and the first string quartet.

To bol prvý zdroj inšpirácie pre Janáčka napísať klavírny koncert. Janáček nebol v úmysle napísať koncert pre orchester, ale Concertino, kde boli pridané ďalšie nástroje pre klavír sólo tak typické pre jeho strohosť. v prvej vete len lesný roh, v druhom Es klarinet. a potom zvyšok nástrojov - dvoje husle, viola a fagot. Po svojej premiére vo februári 1926 Concertino bol zaradený medzi najoriginálnejšie komornej hudby skóre svojho skladateľa spoločne s vetrom sextet Mladosť. Mladosť. a prvé sláčikový kvartet.
