Mass sections, Christmas, Prayer, Praise and thanks. John Van Buren's Gloria was composed in 1996 for the Maulbronner Kammerchor, which introduced this work in Germany and on tours to Russia and Argentina. It has since also been heard in Italy, Holland and the USA. John Van Buren writes about his work. The beginning of my Gloria is initially very restrained, even cautious. It is extremely chromatic, the sound only gradually opening out to become a song of praise. The work grows in a steady crescendo until it arrives at an 8-part fortissimo sound. B major. Finally, the expression of great vitality gives place to a soprano melody which floats calmly above the choral sound, and the work dies away pianissimo.

Práca rastie v ustálenom crescendo, až to príde pri Fortissimo zvuku 8-článok. B moll. Finally, the expression of great vitality gives place to a soprano melody which floats calmly above the choral sound, and the work dies away pianissimo.
